Co-located at the Expo is the Cambodian Water Management Seminar 2018. Themed “Sustainable Water &Wastewater Management”, the seminar will lead discussions about viable practices of sustainable water resource management, wastewater treatment and water quality. The expo will see a gathering of thousands of water industry professionals meeting and networking with major key decision makers and business owners. In line with Cambodia’s rapid urbanisation and industrialisation, Cambodia’s economy has been progressing strongly and is highly successful in attracting foreign direct investments. But as the country’s water consumption demand is expected to increase to 0.8 million cubic meters per day by 2025 and to one million cubic meters per day by 2030, it is crucial that the nation’s needs for quality water facilities, sewerage and sanitation practices besides the necessary infrastructures be met. Cambod i a recen t l y made major headway in the wastewater treatment industry with its first wastewater treatment plant in Dangkor, Phnom Penh. With $27 million in assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the plant’s construction will begin in 2019. CAMWATER 2018 is organised by AMB Tarsus Events Group, a leading tradeshow organiser in the region.
